(GMES) boasts a rich history spanning over 50 years, during which it has consistently delivered exceptional engineering, surveying, planning, and construction management services to clients throughout South Texas. The firm's journey began in 1973 in Harlingen as Guzman & Galindo Inc. The following year, it transitioned to Guzman & Associates, Inc. By 1994, the company evolved into its current form as Guzman & Muñoz Engineering and Surveying, Inc. (GMES), under the expert leadership of Mr. Jose L. Munoz, P.E., S.I.T.

Currently, GMES's state-of-the-art corporate headquarters can be found in Mercedes, Texas, just off Expressway 83. Over the years, our presence in South Texas has steadily grown, and we remain committed to providing exceptional service to our clients in the region. Our commitment to efficient communication and operations began in the early 1990s with the implementation of a networked computer system. This technological advancement allowed us to adopt GPS surveying equipment, aerial mapping, and CAD.

At GMES, we continually strive to stay at the forefront of technology, both in the office and the field, in order to provide our clients with accurate, user-friendly, and efficient solutions. We consistently upgrade our field collection equipment, and our field crews are currently equipped with robotic remote control total stations, scanners, digital levels, and data collectors. By employing these advanced tools, we minimize the risk of human error and position ourselves as industry leaders in large-scale surveying and topography-based projects.
